Micetro! Friday 5th December 2025

Beloved improv elimination competition Micetro is back for another bite of the cheese. The magnificent Lorraine was once crowned the Greatest WIT in Wellington. This time . . . well, there will be challengers.

A crew of eager improvisers will again battle head to head using wit, spur-of-the-moment storytelling and risking everything for an the love of the audience. There’ll be songs! Drama! Pathos, bathos probably a bit of logos! A mix of seasoned improvisers and adorable newcomers and everyone in between will play their hearts out to decide who gets eliminated and who survives to be crowned ‘Micetro’.

WIT Constitution Update, October-November 2025

UPDATE for the Update: Another Special General Meeting attempt will be made Sunday November 16th, as a quorum of 15 members wasn’t achieved on October 14th or on Tuesday October 28th. This time the meeting will be all on zoom, email the secretary (secretary@wit.org.nz) if you’re not part of the WIT Facebook ‘private club’ members group where the meeting link will be shared. And if qualified 15 people don’t make it this time, we’ll try again on another day. As discussed at the AGM in July 2025, WIT is required to formally revise its rules/constitution to comply with official rules

As discussed at the AGM in July 2025, WIT needs to revise its rules/constitution (as written in 2003/2004) to fit in with what is required to comply with the Charities Act 2005 and the Incorporated Societies Act 2022. Our financial reporting already complies.

It is anticipated that this will take no more than 20 10 or so minutes, although if a quorum is not a achieved or the new rules are not approved by a majority of those present, there’ll have to be another SGM as soon as possible.

The agenda and revised document are below, if you are a WIT member please read through it, and send any specific concerns or comments or suggested amendments to secretary@wit.org.nz. Our existing rules are available on the Charities Commission Website, registration number CC52293.

Anyone is welcome to attend, but only WIT members are eligible to vote.
